At the heart of a rich and complex era, Cassina was one of the first companies in design furniture to encourage architects and designers like Le Corbusier to imagine new lines and innovative uses of materials in order to bring their inspirations to life. Cassina worked to persuade designers and architects to explore new avenues of form language and material craftsmanship, allowing them to design their visions and the uniqueness of each design furniture product. This step marked the transition for Cassina from handcrafted production to mass production. Cassina is defined by this culture of absolute quality. One of the brand's bestsellers reflects this vision. The CAB chair, also available as an armchair, designed in 1977 by Mario Bellini, shows clearly defined lines with the use of materials such as lacquered steel or leather. The identity of the Cassina brand rests on the innovative combination of technological expertise and traditional craftsmanship. Cassina furniture is renowned for its exceptional quality: this consistency in excellence is based on a careful selection of raw materials.
